We bought Stink as a 7 month old buck kid at the Cowboy Classic in Yale, OK and feel we were incredibly fortunate to get son of the great AK-47. He has sired some super nice animals for Harmony Hill and we are thrilled with his success.

The Glenwood, AR show was a fantastic show for us.  Southern hospitality is alive and well!  We had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones.  We were fortunate enough to bring home thirteen rosettes and even some prize money.  We had a great time and are looking forward to next year.  Thank so much to Mark and Julie Berry for hosting such a great show.

Spot O’ Luck went on to win the yearling grand, with Aphrodite 2nd, and Francisca 3rd, then my bottle baby Treasure was 3rd in a class of over 20 yearling fullblood does.

On Sunday we won 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th again, but Francisca was 1st and went on to be yearling grand with Spot yearling reserve and then Francisca was reserve overall.

There really were some super nice animals at that show. The best part for us was that there were 18 animals at that show that we raised and I only brought 9 of them. It is such a great feeling to see so many people (that have turned in to friends) at a show with animals that I raised. Thanks so much to all of you! There was a photographer there so we took a “get of sire” picture of all 18 with owners and friends. I’ll be framing that picture and hanging it in a place of honor! So glad the goats have brought all of these people into my life!

The collection of Rosettes from the Harrison Show

Another fantastic show weekend at Harrison, AR. Show 1 under Judge Chip Kemp, Spot O’ Luck was Grand Overall Percentage Doe and Gunslinger was Grand Overall Buck. Show 2 under Judge Tom Dugas, Harmony Hill Musetta (Owned by Brett Snead) was Reserve Overall Percentage Doe and Gunslinger was Overall Grand Buck and Show 3 under Judge Mark Barry, Aphrodite was Reserve Overall Percentage and Gunslinger was Reserve Overall Buck.

We had a great first showing at the Southwest Missouri Meat Goat Production Sale.

Thank you to all those that were interested in our offerings, we had the top two selling goats! Thanks so much to the Snead family, Smith family, and Shallow Creek for their purchases. We are thrilled to have our kids in their hands and look forward to seeing them in the show ring!

Harmony Hill Legacy and her sister Harmony Hill Francisca are the last two does from 14 year-old Delta who retired this year. We love these two does and are excited to see how they perform both in the show ring and then in our breed program.  Pictured below is Harmony Hill Legacy.  You can see why we are so excited about this pair of young does.

Harmony Hill Spot O’ Luck, pictured above, won Jr. Grand Champion Percentage Doe at the Ozark Empire Fair and Jr. Reserve Grand Champion Percentage Doe at the Missouri State Fair.

Harmony Hill Gunslinger is pictured above after his first place win at the Ozark Empire Fair.  Gunslinger also placed 2nd out of a very competitive class of 38 at the Missouri State Fair.

Harmony Hill Samba, a late March 2011 Purebred, has been consistenly placing in the top third of large and competitive classes.  Watch for Samba in the Missouri Meat Goat Producers Sale on September 17 at 1:00 PM at the Ozark Empire Fair Grounds.  The online catalog will be available for viewing at www.boergoats.com.
